At the Board of Trustees meeting on August 6th, Mayor Weitzner presented Shake-N-Go with a Proclamation noting the commitment the business has made to the Village and congratulating them on their success.
The Proclamation reads as follows:
WHEREAS Shake-n-Go, founded by the Khym family and a global beauty products leader with a focus on quality hair extensions, moved to Harbor Road in the Village of Port Washington North in 2004; and
WHEREAS Shake-n-Go is a prominent and environment-friendly employer in the Village, providing jobs for a workforce of 320 people, about 40 percent of whom carpool or share van service to commute; and
WHEREAS Shake-n-Go has an award-winning garden, and has utilized the latest environmental, engineering and design technologies to achieve an impressive 91 percent efficiency for the office buildings; and
WHEREAS Shake-n-Go has recently made room for the subsidiary company Model and undergone a major expansion of its facility, creating a vibrant and green corporate complex. Now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED that, in recognition, June 28th shall henceforth be known as Shake-n-Go Day in the Village of Port Washington North.
