Greetings Port Washington North Residents,

UPDATE to a previous notification, we will be resurfacing several roads throughout the Village. We now understand the contractor will be starting on November 9th, the day after Election Day. This was done to avoid any obstacles while our residents are attempting to vote. We will deliver notices to all homeowner directly affected by the construction, but also wanted the Village to know of these work zones to avoid them while work is being done. Again, the roads affected are:

  1. Soundview Drive, from Steamboat Dr. to Shore Road (Shell Station)
  2. Driftwood Drive, from Island Court to Schooner Lane
  3. Island Court
  4. Cove Lane
  5. Pleasant Avenue

We have been told this work is expected to take up to 4 days. In order to avoid any further inconvenience for our residents, it may be necessary to finish this work on Saturday, November 12th.

Regarding Election Day, Nov. 8th, please be aware polls are open from 6am to 9pm. Most of the Village votes at Souse Elementary School but we advise that you check to ensure you are going to the right voting location.
